I am thrilled to join the bobcat team at Santa Rita! I grew up in San Jose and come from a family of educators who instilled in me the idea that all children deserve a high quality education and to be part of a community that supports their social and emotional well-being. My two sons went through LASD schools, so I am not only a proud LASD teacher, but a parent as well.  I graduated from UCSB with a degree in sociology and earned my teaching credential at Long Beach State. I have taught 4th and 5th grade in LASD since 2000, and for the past seven years I have supported teachers as an instructional coach and new teacher mentor.  In my spare time I enjoy reading, being in nature and playing with my new puppy.
